Where are the travel bargains now, you ask?
As we’re now midway through one of the busier travel seasons of the year, we can look back a few months and see that – as predicted – those mind-bogglingly low prices on everything from flights to hotel rooms to cruises were way more plentiful back then. Prices have crept up again in the last month or so, and although most people think they’ll dip again in another couple of months, we may have seen the last of the kinds of fares that literally made jaws drop.
Having said that, there are still places you can go that are insanely cheap at the moment – and we’re not talking about out-of-the-way spots with no tourist infrastructure or appeal. In fact, for a variety of reasons, you can find excellent deals on trips to places like Mexico, Las Vegas, Miami, and the Caribbean right now. So if you’re in need of a sun-soaked vacation, want to hang out on a beach, or are going for some kind of all-you-can-eat buffet record, you’ve got lots of options that won’t cost you a fortune.
But not all the cheap travel destinations are in the northern hemisphere. Y’know how off-season travel typically offers up great deals? Well, it’s winter in Australia right now, and there are deals a-plenty to prove it. Not in the mood for winter travel? Never fear – northern Australia is still warm, even in winter. So head for the adventure playground of Queensland and you’ll get a warm weather trip at wintertime prices.
